Important notes on latex care

IMPORTANT NOTES ON LATEX CARE!!!

In order for you to enjoy your latex clothing for many years, there are a few IMPORTANT things to keep in mind.

Beware of sharp corners and objects.
Do not stay in direct sunlight for too long. Direct sunlight will fade / damage the clothing.
Jewellery and leather , nicotine fingers and nicotine itself can leave discolouration on latex clothing.
Do not apply body lotions, deodorants, perfumes before wearing.
Use only water-based lubricants and never grease or Vaseline.
When worn, the latex absorbs the sweat produced, so it is important to clean the latex garment immediately after wearing and to care for it again with silicone oil.

Cleaning before storing and after wearing latex:

Place the latex clothing in a bathtub, sink, or plastic tub filled with min. lukewarm water. The amount of water may vary depending on the number of latex garments.
Add approx. 2 teaspoons of latex detergent to the water, depending on the amount of clothing to be cleaned (one pair of shorts = approx. 2 teaspoons of latex cleaner).
Wash the clothes thoroughly by hand and let them soak for about 10 minutes. Then drain off the dirty water and let fresh water run in.
Rinse the clothes thoroughly with the fresh lukewarm water.
(The clothes may start to stick together, this is perfectly normal).
Now fill the bathtub again with fresh lukewarm water.
Add 1-2 teaspoons of silicone oil per item to the new water.
Pull the clothes through the silicone bath until they are slippery again.
After washing in the silicone oil, hang the clothes on a clothes horse and, if necessary, dab dry with a Zewa.
When everything has dried, turn again generously and re-oil.

Now you can store your clothes.

Please separate light from dark colours, especially do not let light and coloured pieces hang against each other in the wardrobe for a long time.
(There is a risk of discolouration)
You can also use garment bags to prevent discolouration.
